![]() “Whether Harry knows it or not, he was a reason for the split and it blindsided Jason-he totally adores Olivia and is devastated. “Olivia called off the engagement in early November but only after she already had gotten close to Harry,” the insider claims, disputing the breakup timeline. Styles factor into Olivia and Jason’s split? An Us Weeklysource seems to think so, even though Olivia and Jason split long before Harry was cast in her movie. The people-i.e., Harry fans-want to know: Did Mr. “But what happens next remains to be seen.” January 10, 2021 “There is still a lot of love there, and he would like to have hope that maybe there’s a way for them to repair things,” says the source. Remember how that ET source said there was “no drama or scandal” in Jason and Olivia’s split and that it was “highly unlikely” Jason could feel blindsided by the news? Welp, People reports Jason “is absolutely heartbroken about the split.” Oh! And to make things abundantly clear, the source adds, “Harry did not break up an engagement.” Good to know. “They were very careful about it and even sleuth-y at times, although the small group of people who were on-set with them every day eventually figured it out.” January 9, 2021ĭespite those wedding pics leaking to the internet, Olivia and Harry swear they “were able to keep their relationship under wraps for a bit before it became public knowledge,” a source tells Us Weekly. Olivia then asked for a separation and news of the split was made public.”įriendly reminder that previous reports all agreed Olivia and Jason were broken up in early 2020, which makes this source's take even more □. “Jason found out about Harry and pushed the conversation. “People have tried to make out that Harry and Olivia have only been dating for the past few weeks, but that’s not right,” their source says. It’s highly unlikely he was blindsided by this news.” Again-file that for later!!! January 8, 2021Īpparently, there might be more to Olivia and Harry’s relationship than meets the eye-and it’s stirring up some drama. “Olivia and Harry are together for long days on-set and have gotten to know each other really well, so it’s all very organic.” Olivia’s treading carefully with her and Harry’s relationship because she “wouldn’t let a romantic relationship get in the way of a professional one, so anything they’re doing is being done thoughtfully.”Īnd in case you’re wondering about Jason’s feelings about this, ET’s source reminds everyone that he and Olivia actually split over a year ago, “so it’s not like she’s rushing into something.…Olivia and Jason talk all the time and are still close because of the kids. They have dated for a few weeks.” □Įntertainment Tonight also has a bunch of intel on Harry and Olivia’s romance and a source basically says they developed a deeper connection while on-set. “They were affectionate around their friends, held hands, and looked very happy. ![]() “They were in Montecito, California, this weekend for a wedding,” a source tells People. The children are the priority and the heart of the family’s relationship.”Īn Entertainment Tonight source backs up Olivia and Jason’s “amicable” split and claims “they just fell out of love in a romantic way but still have love toward one another as people.” Thankfully, Olivia and Jason “consider themselves friends and co-parents first and foremost.”Ī separate ET source made a point to add “there was absolutely no drama or scandal, they just didn’t work as a couple anymore. ![]() Just a few short hours after Olivia praises Harry in print for being an amazing, talented, and fashionable human being, the breaking breakup news hits: Olivia and her fiancé, Jason Sudeikis, ended their engagement after seven years.Ī source tells People “the split happened at the beginning of the year,” with the good news being that their breakup has “been amicable and they’ve transitioned into a great co-parenting routine. It’s pretty powerful and kind of extraordinary to see someone in his position redefining what it can mean to be a man with confidence.” Iiiiinteresting. ![]() I think he is in many ways championing that, spearheading that. But Olivia doesn’t stop there-she adds, “To me, he’s very modern, and I hope that this brand of confidence as a male that Harry has-truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity-is indicative of his generation and therefore the future of the world. ![]()

Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, so if you're having a particular challenge, you might experiment with it, but remember that "premature optimization is the root of all evil." Most of the time, there is little that can be done beyond what we're given to work with. The entire framework is already in the lazy-loading business, so using additional tricks really should not be necessary in most ordinary cases. Other lazy-loading "techniques" are therefore not optimal for this purpose. Part of the user experience is giving the users some sort of indication that the code hasn't crashed, and loading animations helps with that significantly. It gives the user a sense that something is happening, instead of just a white screen while we wait for things to load. There is a reason why we have recommendations for placeholders and spinners. Dynamic component generation can be useful to load additional components, but I would avoid doing this for anything that needs to display initially. Keep in mind that if you need to set a $A.getCallback, you're introducing additional rendering cycles, which is detrimental to performance. You don't need to do anything special, just use aura:if. Typical examples might include additional tabs in a tab panel, or areas hidden until a user clicks on something. It's probably easiest if you simply wall off areas you want to lazy-load with aura:if, then set an attribute when you want to render the area. Keep in mind that components you don't load upfront will cause a delay in rendering as Lightning has to query the server for components not already in its cache.Įvent-driven loading is the preferred way to optimize the experience. This isn't even always required, as I have written code like this one that loads 1,000 accounts in a small fraction of a second most of the time spent loading the app is literally just loading Aura/Lightning, not my code or data. It is not always necessary to load all of the data upfront, and you can usually avoid some of the initial start up time by only loading data that will be initially presented to the user, and then going back to the server to pick up more data, as necessary. You can load data on-demand at the moment the user clicks on a button, link, tab, etc. This is how Lightning already works, and is intended to be used. The only real benefit you can get out of this is to pre-cache components that you're not using on start-up but that you might need during execution. This results in better overall performance in exchange for some additional loading time. Components statically referenced can be loaded during the initial load, reducing server round-trips and possibly rendering cycles. ![]() This has several challenges, the least of which is if you do it wrong, you're introducing additional round trips to the server and additional rendering cycles. AfterRender is a tool for using additional libraries to modify the DOM post-rendering. Worst case scenario is an infinite loop, best case scenario is additional, unnecessary rendering cycles. If you do anything here within the framework, you're going to cause another rendering cycle. ![]() AfterRender simply tells you the DOM is ready, which is already after a rendering cycle. It also virtually guarantees you'll have more rendering cycles than necessary. Either way, you won't get perfectly optimal experiences on all devices if you pick an arbitrary time to wait before doing stuff. Either not everything is loaded yet, or you have idle time before your lazy-loading kicks in. Let's look at the options you've presented and see which ones might be useful. Summer 17 has a number of performance optimizations). It is true that Lightning needs more optimization, and Salesforce is working on that (e.g. Your initial component graph is calculated, a single request is made to the server to load/cache all of your components, they are then initialized, and then a second rendering cycle occurs when you receive your callback from $A.enqueueAction and you set your attributes. ![]() ![]() Lightning is already a lazy-loading framework, by definition. The worse offenders in Lightning are rendering cycles and multiple trips to the server, plus Locker Service, which adds additional overhead. Don't use timers, afterRender, or dynamic component generation just to try and shave off startup time, because the end result will be longer waits until your application/component is usable. ![]() ![]() ![]() If that CVT is poorly designed then it probably is, along with no widespread knowledge around them. Knowing this, CVTs are usually recalled and have had plenty of issues, such as Nissan and Subaru.(8)(9) Are they expensive to repair? Probably yes. They are also controlled by the car’s ECU, so if the ECU is programmed poorly, then the CVT will behave weirdly. They’re flimsy if you think about it, so, they usually have some sort of fault due to them being under-engineered. The biggest problem with CVTs is that they aren’t sporty nor beefy. Most hybrid cars use CVTs because they can make them work synchronously with the electric motor. Nissan uses CVT on most of their vehicles. ![]() There are many manufacturers who use CVTs for a good while already. If the engine can run as efficiently as it can, then it pollutes less. Weird, I know.(7)ĬVTs are starting to become increasingly common, due to fuel efficiency and pollution regulations. Some manufactures create fake gears shifts so people aren’t disturbed that their car doesn’t shift gears. My transmission shifts gears and I have a CVT, is this normal? Yeah, believe it or not it’s normal. If you barely accelerate and you feel a jolt, the belt is likely used and almost ready to fail.(6) Artificial Gears When the belt settles the RPM also has to settle, which happens with a jolt. If it stretches a bit, it can come off the bobbins slightly and effectively slip a bit. As such, if you use a bit too much force on a belt, as in a brisk acceleration, the belt will stretch a bit. Even if it’s a metal belt, it’s still a belt. Why does my CVT sometimes jolt? Well, as I stated a bit ago, a CVT uses a belt. It’s the point where your engine is the happiest. The RPM you’re hearing from the engine is actually engineered to be like that. However, a car with a CVT doesn’t have a redline, and the constant RPM you’re hearing is far from that redline. If it stays at redline for multiple minutes, you will break the engine. The redline is the point where the engine can start damaging itself, due to heat and stress. They also drive like an automatic, so no need to shift gears.ĭoes that hurt the engine? No, you shouldn’t be worried at all. They can constantly use the engine as efficiently as they can. This is what causes the CVTs to be so efficient. Likewise, it will constantly stay at max power RPM because that’s the fastest way it can accelerate. It’s a similar story with accelerating as fast as you can. That’s why a car with a CVT stays at a constant RPM and doesn’t shift gears. Below the RedlineĪ CVT fixes the problem, because it will always stay around the max torque RPM when cruising, regardless of speed. If you’re too slow in 3rd gear at max torque RPM and you shift gears to get to what speed you need, you won’t be at that RPM anymore. However, a regular transmission can’t do that. An engine runs the most efficient around its max torque RPM(5), so it would be in the car’s best interest to run at max torque. This behavior comes with a few distinct features, such that a transmission can use the engine as efficiently as it can. CVT comes from a Continuously Variable Transmission, because it can change its gear ratio constantly, within a range of the 1st gear and last gear. A CVT uses a belt which wraps around two sort of bobbins which can, in fact, change their size(4).īy changing their size, they can change how much or how little the engine RPM is divided. Seeing how you can’t change the cogs’ size you have a certain number of fixed gears. ![]() In a regular transmission, each gear is made of 1, 2, or 3 pairs of metal cogs which are meshed together (even if it’s a manual or automatic, the concept is the same)(3). Or, in fact, it has an infinity of “gears”. To understand how a CVT works, you need to understand how a regular transmission works, because a CVT doesn’t have any gears. How a CVT Transmission Works The Subaru Legacy sends power to all four wheels utilizing a CVT. ![]() ![]() Our bridal ring sets and eternity bands offer thousands of options for a deluxe VVS diamond wedding ring for your beautiful bride.
